Governors Cuomo (NY), Murphy (NJ) and Lamont (CT) Announce Joint Incoming Travel Advisory

  • Effective 12:01 a.m. on June 25, 2020, all individuals traveling from states with a significant community spread of COVID-19 to NY must quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact with the identified state
  • The quarantine applies to any person arriving from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 people per 100,000 residents, or a state with higher than a 10% positivity rate, over a 7-day rolling average
  • Any violation of a quarantine or isolation order issued to an individual pursuant to the Commissioner of the Department of Health’s travel advisory by a local department of health or state department of health may be subject to a civil penalty of up to $10,000
  • As of June 24, 2020, this advisory affects travelers from: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, and Texas
